What sets this beach apart is its salt mines found within the vicinity of the beach, which are the only ones left in Gran Canaria. It is also a nudist area with natural swimming pools and flat rocks for comfort.

Its natural pools are relatively huge but are safe for swimming. Swimming in the open sea is not recommended due to the rocky terrain. You can try it though, when the waters are calm.

El Agujero beach is located in a rural area, and boasts of 650 meters of golden sand, crags and stones. Found between banana plantations, windsurfing experts are very attractive to this beach. A site known for its pre Hispanic discoveries, it boasts of a natural pool on the beach where it is safe to swim. There’s also a small promenade and sea front, plus a parking area.

Situated in a rural area and surrounded by farms, Dos Roques has the distinction of being a small-grained white sand and stone beach with a large natural pool.

El Burrero is situated in an urban area that can be reached by bus. It enjoys easy access to restaurants and shops and boasts of a promenade and romantic park benches that run along the sea wall. Other facilities available are telephones and restaurants serving fresh fish. The beach itself is 40 meters wide and made of fine black and golden. It is windy in this area and hence is good condition for windsurfing.

This is the most important urban beach in the archipelago because of its natural reef that acts as a barrier to strong currents and waves and host to extensive sea life in the reefs. Nearby are first class hotels and apartments, a sports club, a Red Cross post with watch towers and motor boat, as well as a local police post. Any area of Las Canteras can be reached by bus and has showers, toilets and public telephones as well as rentals for sunshades, deck chairs and water sports equipment. At the lovely sea front are several restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes.

Beach: La Laja

Easily reached by bus, La Laja has a parking area, a sea front and a watch tower. This beach is a good spot for practicing surf and body boarding and has a small artificial breakwater that reduces waves and currents. Lateen sail competitions are held each week from April to October.

Amidst urban surroundings, this beach is isolated by the motorway and seafront promenade that run alongside it. Interesting shops and restaurants are located across the motorway.

Because of Veneguera’s isolated ravine, its flora is completely indigenous. This nudist beach is also popular as the venue for a music festival that takes place at the end of summer, with performances from national musicians.

Within its vicinity are restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of shops. One of the island’s primary fishing harbors are situated here.

One of the most important tourist development areas in Mogán, in here you can find every type of business needed for practicing any kind of sea water activity, like diving, sailing, and excursions along the coast.

Ideal camping grounds are right here, but permit from the Municipal Council for camping must be secured.

Beach: El Cura

Reached by bus, El Cura is a beach of fine gray sand and stones. It has a parking area, equipment rental, a small promenade and an area for open-air dining, with kiosks, deck chairs and public telephones. Nearby are tourist resorts with accommodation and the campsite of El Tauro.

With various restaurants, terraces, and a supermarket in the part of the promenade that lies adjacent to the beach.
