Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the perfect place to go visiting museums and exhibition rooms. Museo Canario

Founded in 1879, Museo Canario has 12 halls with an exceptional assortment of important heritage -- a collection of extraordinary anthropological remains and evidence of the material and religious culture of the aborigines.

Casa de Colón

Inaugurated in 1952, the museum of Casa de Colón boasts of two big courtyards and twelve permanent exhibition rooms that showcase products of a wide range of subjects.

Elder Science and Technology Museum

This is a museum that is quite popular especially to the inquisitive. It achieves its popularity by its catch phrase: "Please, Do Touch," which encapsulates quite well the unique theme and aim of the museum for effective education, thru interactivity. Of the 220 exhibition items or modules, 200 are interactive. The fundamental goal of the museum is to encourage the curiosity and ability to explore of its visitors. The building has a constructed area of 6,800 sq. m., and an exhibition surface of 4,500 sq. m. and the exhibition surface is distributed into four floors where different sections are found.

CAAM (Atlantic Centre of Modern Art)

Quite contemporary, this exhibit area does not merely enclose their artworks on glass panels; visitors can actually eat with them! The Atlantic Centre of Modern Art houses many modern art exhibitions, where the center is mainly European, African and American modern art works and a little collection of Spanish contemporary art. A coffee shop and a restaurant are open for all.

Néstor Museum

Inaugurated in 1950, this is the official place of great cultural interest to the Autonomous Region. Néstor Museum has 10 majestic exhibition rooms that are quite educational, together with a pedagogic center that art lovers should not miss.
